As Senior Manager of Product Design , I led Design Managers, Product Designers and Product Design teams responsible for Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort Digital experiences, including Platform initiatives during the “Hyperion” Design System era such as Disney Genie, Direct to Room and Unified Checkout.

Disney Genie is a complimentary and convenient new digital service designed to create your best Disney day. This new technology guides Guests through Walt Disney World and Disneyland theme parks with tips that can help you reduce time in lines, discover magic around every corner and take the guesswork out of “what’s next.” Built right into the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps, Disney Genie service will maximize park time, so Guests can have more fun.

Alaska Airlines

Alaska Airlines acquired Virgin America to become the 5th largest US Domestic Airline.

As Product Design Manager, I led product design for Alaska Airlines' guest-facing digital experiences - including websites, native mobile applications, self-service kiosks and airport displays.

The focus of my role was to begin building out the next generation experience for Alaska Airlines, scale up the Ecommerce product design team (recruiting and adding Managers, Researchers and Designers) while integrating the best of the Virgin America digital experience with the JD Power award winning service of Alaska Airlines.

Disney Parks Apps

As Associate UX Design Director, I led the Seattle based User Experience, Information Architecture and Interaction Designers while co-managing the Seattle based design group responsible for Walt Disney Company Parks and Resorts Digital App experiences.

This “Snowball” Design System era included the design and launch of immersive digital app experiences for My Disney Experience and Shop Disney Parks for Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Paris, Shanghai Disney Resort and Hong King Disneyland Resort.

As UX Design Manager, I spearheaded a team of UX/UI, Marketing Designers, Writers and Content Strategists within the Product team. We were responsible for every new product, feature, conversion performance and overall experience of the Big Fish Games Web Site distribution portal, Game Manager Desktop Client, Big Fish Games App and Big Fish Unlimited Instant Games Service.

Troy directs, manages, and creates compelling, usable, high-performing product experiences. He also loves comic books, brush pens, and doughnuts.
 
As a leader, he guides design, content, and research teams in executing business goals. Troy collaborates on the user experience across touchpoints, uses AI to enhance product experiences and delivery, and delivers data-based feature performance. He also creates systems for cross-channel platforms and iterative value-based frameworks.

Troy is the Head of Experience Design (XD) for Erica, AI, and Platforms at Bank of America. He partners with executives, leaders, and directors in Design, Product, Project, and Technology to create the next generation of world-class cross-channel immersive digital experiences.

Previously, Troy served as Director at ESPN and Associate Director at Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products. He delivered on premier brands including Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, Disneyland Paris, Shanghai Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, ESPN, ESPN+, and ESPN Fantasy Leagues.

Before Disney, Troy served as Product Design Manager at Alaska Airlines during the expansion with Virgin America.

Troy is also the Director of UX How - a resource UX & Product Design “How To” insights, resources, and blueprints - and the Director of Method Toolkit LLC.

Troy has been the design lead on projects for Rolling Stone, Microsoft, Nickelodeon, Marvel and many others.
